00:45 — Digital natives are those who grew up with digital technology, such as the Internet, and don’t know a world without it. They are often compared to analog natives, who did not grow up with these technologies. Now, we’re moving into a new era with artificial intelligence (AI), which leads to a new generation of people: the AI natives.
01:15 — AI natives are those who will grow up with hyper-intelligent AI tools, like ChatGPT, and even with the future artificial general intelligence (AGI) systems. It can be challenging for those who aren’t in this generation to predict how someone growing up in a world with AI will think.

01:35 — “For the first time in tens of thousands of years of human history, our species will coexist with something that’s at or above our intelligence level,” Toni asserts. AI natives will be the first generation to experience this. We will have to learn to coexist with these tools and determine how they can be allies or competitors.
01:55 — These natives won’t shy away from novelty; they’ll adopt AI into their lives very quickly, Toni describes. While a digital native will turn to Google first when searching for something, an AI native will first turn to ChatGPT.
02:12 — One advantage that AI natives will have in the labor market is their ability to adopt new tooling. This is more of a challenge for analog natives.
02:40 — Toni proposes that “AI natives will also have vastly different expectations for employers and for businesses,” just as digital natives had when compared to analog natives.
02:50 — OpenAI recently announced plugins for ChatGPT. Companies that don’t adopt technologies like this won’t be able to maintain a competitive edge in the acceleration economy. AI natives will be vital to companies that need to transition with the rapid advancements happening within markets.
03:15 — “There’s a lot of change happening — and it’s happening very quickly,” Toni notes. He encourages those who want to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements to follow along with the AI/Hyperauotmation channel, concluding that even if you’re an AI native, “we all have to learn how to work with AI.”
