Plymouth Inc. is a third-generation company supplying customers with high-quality meat products at affordable prices since 1938. The company recently reached the 100-employee mark, as they needed a way to maintain efficient business operations.
Plymouth offers delivery operations throughout the west coast. They also own a production facility, warehouse, long-haul freight division, and an offsite cold storage facility. Maintaining their high-quality standards wasn’t easy. They decided to implement the Microsoft Dynamics GP system to improve business operations.
Staying efficient was essential due to an ever-increasing amount of data, including at least 43 Microsoft Dynamics GP users.

Team members at Plymouth noticed several deficiencies during the initial implementation process of Microsoft Dynamics GP. Another system improvement happened a year later. The focus was to develop a robust pricing method for over 10,000 products originating from hundreds of different suppliers. Plymouth also services customers with small or large quantity orders and will even fill one-time orders.
The sales and accounting team at Plymouth needed a more robust pricing method that was easier to maintain than GP Extended Pricing for managing weekly prices for over 3,000 different items. Each customer also had different contracts, which further added to the complexity.
Other Software Solution – Rockton’s Omni Pricing
Rockton offers an Omni Price that’s built on top of Microsoft’s Dynamics GP Standard pricing. Omni Price makes it easy for Plymouth to make any adjustments to prices at any time and for various reasons. The Rockton team also worked with Plymouth in developing a custom API to assist while looking up prices.
The flexibility of Omni Price is highly valuable for the daily business operations at Plymouth, which includes more than 1,000 clients and over 3,000 items priced on a weekly basis. All of these different variables make Omni Price a must-have solution in managing these ever-evolving needs.
Final Results – Efficient Business Operations
Rockton’s SmartFill and Omni Price features made it possible to improve business operations at Plymouth while helping them maintain their core value in providing quality services and products for each customer.
The company plans to continue using Rockton’s products to offer unique services to meet their needs best. Plymouth also intends to use Rockton’s Auditor product within the year due to their excellent experience with their other services.
