Highlights
00:29 — I thought it was interesting on SAP’s recent Q2 earnings call that CEO Christian Klein was very specific in making the point that within SAP, for its own internal operations, its Business AI solutions and GenAI hub will be helping SAP cut what Klein said will be $100 million in expenses this year.
00:56— Klein wanted to be sure that customers would be able to see, “Hey, here’s some real, tangible examples of what’s happening in a big company we know and trust.” Some of the areas where that’s happening are in HR, finance, supply chain, document management, contract management, and anywhere where there’s manual work being done.

02:37 — These examples from Klein show that in a large, global, technologically oriented company working around the world and moving very quickly, major savings can happen. Klein also said that this is a case where, it’s going to be moving toward more industry-specific cases. All of this will tie in with its Business AI solutions, up into its ERP products and services like its Joule Copilot.
03:26 — This is not a time to sit by and say, “Well, let’s see what my competitors do. Let’s see what other people do.” These days, the way things are moving, the way that some nimble businesses in every industry are jumping on opportunities like this, the worst thing to do right now is stand pat and hope that things will slow down, because they’re just not going to.
