My first job out of college was at Great Plains Software and then Microsoft in Sales Operations. I then dabbled in the sales side of the hospitality industry for a few years and landed at a non-profit. My 12 years in the non-profit sector with the Red River Basin Commission had me planning, coordinating and executing on their annual conference, board meetings, working group meetings and tours up and down the Red River Valley. I expanded my role over the years to include IT support, facilitation between states and province, grant writing and reporting, and so much more. Getting back into the IT world in this capacity has been refreshing and exciting.
