When it comes to creating new business opportunities with GenAI, one stumbling block for many organizations is the transition from proof-of-concept to deployment because the complexity of GenAI products — and the unknowns — makes them difficult to deploy at scale.
To that end, Kyndryl, the world’s largest IT infrastructure services company, has teamed up with NVIDIA to help its customers expedite GenAI deployments. Here’s what to expect.
Open Integration
The collaboration centers on the integration capabilities of Kyndryl Bridge. Giovanni Carraro, Senior Vice President of Global Strategic Alliances at Kyndryl, shared additional insights about Kyndryl Bridge and the partnership.
“Kyndryl Bridge is an open-integration platform that can help customers make data-driven decisions, drive engaging customer and employee experiences, quickly respond to and resolve issues when they arise, and support the running of more stable and reliable operations,” he said.
In terms of the NVIDIA collaboration, Kyndryl Bridge will support the end-to-end lifecycle of AI development and implementation in business environments for NVIDIA customers running full-stack accelerated hardware and software on-premises or in private, hybrid, or multi-cloud environments.
Kyndryl Bridge will be integrated with NVIDIA AI to achieve GenAI objectives centered on accelerating the efficiency of GenAI performance on Kyndryl Bridge and boosting adoption.
“Kyndryl is applying its unique mix of end-to-end services and IP, including the Kyndryl Bridge open integration platform, to support the NVIDIA technology stack,” said Carraro. “By providing complete AI lifecycle support, Kyndryl will help NVIDIA customers advance from AI testing to deployment to tangible business outcomes.”
John Fanelli, vice president of enterprise software at NVIDIA, said the following about the partnership, “As generative AI can scale productivity and insight for companies across industries, many organizations are seeking experts to help them quickly integrate AI applications into their operations. Kyndryl’s solutions and expertise in integrating full-stack NVIDIA AI can help customers rapidly establish and scale their AI strategies.”
Expert Consultants
Beyond the integration capabilities of Kyndryl Bridge, the company will also support NVIDIA customers through its services arm, Kyndryl Consult. The aim is to leverage Kyndryl’s domain knowledge to expedite the steps required for testing, verification, and deployment.
Carraro explained that the combination of technology and service support for NVIDIA customers is a key differentiator. “By making Kyndryl services available to customers using NVIDIA technology, Kyndryl is providing customers a powerful combination of technology and expertise that can help them speed reliable deployment of generative AI solutions, advance AI adoption, and stay ahead in their respective industries,” he said.
Closing Thoughts
Partnering with NVIDIA is an important step for Kyndryl’s growing presence in AI and sets the scene for further developments in its partners ecosystem.
“Kyndryl’s strategic alliance ecosystem is critical to meeting customers where they are on their digital transformation journey,” explained Carraro. “However, we’re excited and focused on this collaboration with NVIDIA and how Kyndryl will be a trusted partner for customers using NVIDIA technology and looking to accelerate the deployment of their generative AI solutions.
“We’re also excited about the new and promising GenAI collaborations and solutions that we can pursue with other partners in our ecosystem, including the hyperscaler cloud providers — Microsoft, AWS and Google Cloud — and other technology leaders.”
Carraro also shared his thoughts on the increasing role IT infrastructure services companies like Kyndryl will play in helping companies leverage GenAI technologies, “As businesses around the world continue to investigate the opportunity to weave generative AI tools and solutions into their broader modernization plans, they will need a trusted partner to provide end-to-end expertise and services,” he said. “Kyndryl lives the entire AI lifecycle with its customers — providing its talent, culture, and expertise every step of the way.”
