00:10 – IBM takes a huge step forward in establishing itself as an authority of Financial Services Cloud by signing with major banks across the globe.
00:28 – Latest Bank to partner with IBM is Caixa Bank from Spain. With over 21 million customers throughout Europe and a 50+ year relationship with IBM, the CEO of Caixa Bank still speaks highly of them. “IBM is an indispensable partner that has enabled us to advance into the future of banking.”
01:28 – Building from this partnership: 1. IBM opened a new multi-zone region in Spain 2. Caixa Bank signed on as an anchor tenant 3. Becomes a client of IBM for financial services which opened capabilities on regulatory issues, data sovereignty, security and governance.
01:50 – IBM Cloud SVP Howard Bogo described how big companies, especially in regulated industries, will not move into the cloud until they have purpose-built capabilities, not just a general-purpose cloud that doesn’t address their core needs.
