In this episode, Kenny discusses how Oracle is integrating generative AI capabilities into Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM.
Highlights
00:51 — We’re seeing the application of generative AI into real-world products. Kenny notes that Oracle is introducing generative AI capabilities into the Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM offering to help boost human resources (HR) productivity.
01:11 — Some of what it’s built, you could do with ChatGPT — if you know how to put in the right prompts, sift through answers, and not include private or sensitive information, he says. But Oracle has incorporated the generative AI engine in such a way that you can train it with information that’s specific to your company, industry, or department and be assured that it will be secure.
01:57 — Some of the product’s embedded capabilities include Assisted Authoring, which will help an HR department generate content. It can also help with generating HR HelpDesk knowledgebase articles. Another feature is Suggestions. Imagine automated recommendations for survey questions.
02:54— Another area is Summarization. Summarization could pull together data, like feedback on an employee from throughout the year, and then summarize it for their performance review. There are further possibilities for generative AI and HR with intelligent recruiting and bias mitigation.
03:54 — Overall, Kenny is excited to see companies like Oracle putting generative AI to good use in real applications. These are not contrived scenarios to take advantage of a buzzword. These are real enhancements that can speed up HR processes and increase their effectiveness.
