Beat has been using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains since version 7.x back in 2003. Learned up the ins & outs of the system, mainly by creating reports and Excel queries linked to the back-end of the Great Plains system. He has a very good knowledge of the Great Plains security model since the switch from the 'optimistic' mode in GP 9.0 to the 'pessimistic' mode where by default all the resources are denied to a new user.
He also became a GPUG All Star in 2013 when attending for the first time GPUG Summit, for his very active contributions after the launch of the GPUG Collaborate site. Beat was awarded in April 2015 the prestigious Dynamics GP MVP Award for his contributions to the user community over the past 10 years. He launched in Nov 2014 the 2nd GPUG chapter outside of the US, and holds the position as Chapter Leader of the GPUG Montreal GP chapter
Beat received several GPUG Gemstone Awards since 2016 for his on-going contribution to the community & forums. He held the MVP status for the years 2015 to 2018. In the mid-2018, Beat decided to start his own GP consulting practice and offer his many years of experience to support GP customers on their aging platform that regular VAR's don't want to support anymore. You can find him at his blog on blog.gp-geek.com.
