In today’s Clouds Wars Minute, I share some reflections on Thanksgiving and give viewers a peek at a different part of my office, with photos of some of the heroes in my life.
Highlights
00:21 — Hello, my friends. Today’s whiteboard message today is pretty simple. The AI-powered whiteboard cooked today’s message up all on its own, reflecting exactly my feelings. Happy Thanksgiving to all. I hope the spirit of this holiday pervades across the globe, and everybody has a chance to count her or his blessings.
01:00 — I grew up with a fabulous father and five brothers. But I wanted to speak to a different group here and that is to the wonderful women in my life. My mom, my sister, then later getting to meet my wife, my children, granddaughters now, friends, and lots of others.
01:38 — I want to show you a different part of my office. It’s what I call the Galleria (get it —Gal-leria?) and here it is. Up there, we see my older daughter Ella at her wedding; Ella with first granddaughter, Rory; my wife Wendy and her sister, our niece, two daughters; my mom; Wendy in high school (she might not like me showing this); my sister and her husband and my daughter Glenn.
02:34 — I have this wonderful family, and I’m extending this outward from my immediate family to all of you who I regard as family members of a different sort. We’re so lucky to be alive in these times. There are lots of things around the world that are challenging and a little bit scary. But I think it’s an opportunity to be an optimist and to think about the great things in our lives without becoming Pollyannas.
03:24 — I find myself being a little more philosophical here, as I become more of a seasoned citizen. I wanted to especially thank all of you for your time, for your kindness, for allowing me to spend a couple of minutes here and there sharing some thoughts with you. And for the wonderful dialogues we get to have online. I feel incredibly blessed and fortunate. Thank you so much for being a part of that.
