00:05 — In order to recruit, retain, and grow native digital talent, companies must change the way they operate. Companies that are forcing their employees to return to the office are losing native digitals because Lochhead says they “want more agency in how and where they work.”
00:46 — Culture is different, explains Lochhead. “It’s got to be digital first and analog second. And the way you trade and develop these folks has got to be very different.”
01:37 — The bottom line? For those who want to continue working in business, if you are a native analog, you need to be mentored by native digitals about new approaches and new technologies. At the same time, native digitals should be mentored by native analogs to gain the value of analog wisdom and experience. “I think all of that means that we’re at one of the most exciting times in history, and most companies don’t understand this difference.”
